Personal Statement
I truly love baseball, but I know that one day my career will end, and I will need to have my education taken care of. I want to use baseball to help fund my education, and scholarship offers will be a top factor in choosing the college I attend. I would also like to play for a coach and a team that will allow me the opportunity to possibly play at the next level.
I have had the opportunity to grow up and learn baseball and the art of pitching from a very good coach. Coach Gore has taught me baseball inside and out, taught me the mental side of pitching, and has expected me from an early age to be a leader on his team. I've learned the importance of hard work, and I've seen that hard work pay off. One advantage that I feel that I have over other pitchers is my mental approach to pitching. I've learned to not get too high when things are going well and not to get too low when they aren't going so well. I enjoy studying batters and working their weaknesses against them.
