Personal Statement
Being a collegiate athlete has always been a lifelong dream for me. From the time I was a kid in tee-ball I would turn on the TV and be watching college players playing in front of thousands of fans, being on TV, and just having fun out there, I would always say to myself "That's going to be me one day." As I have matured, the importance of "self" has taken a backseat to the goals for my team. Playing for championships is a top priority for any team I am a member of.
I believe I would be a great candidate for any college. My work ethic is 100% everyday on the field and in the classroom. I show up to the field early and prepared for the workout regardless if it is morning, noon, or night. I continue to strive to get better in my class work, and also as a baseball player. Another reason I would be a good candidate for college baseball is my ability to be coached. I am a great listener and always willing to learn more to better my abilities for myself and also for my team. I am known by my coaches as a competitor, dependable, and coachable. I believe my presence on a team would be an asset for the program.
The area that differentiates me from other recruits is that I understand my strengths and weaknesses. There are many areas of my game that needs improving. Some areas need a lot of improvement and others could use tweeking. I am willing to listen and learn from anybody willing to help. I am willing to work on weaknesses until they become my strengths. Many recruits do not share these thoughts about themselves, but I believe that there are ALWAYS ways to improve my game. Although athletics is a top priority it will take a backseat to the academic side. My goal when completing college is to have a degree in the field I choose and a championship baseball ring.
