Brett Smith '18 Recruiting Profile

Playing baseball in college has always been a dream of mine from day one. Growing up with three sisters was not always easy but really introduced me to the game. Each sister playing softball growing up, had me at the ballpark every single weekend watching them play. Not only have I played baseball but also have competed in multiple sports such as basketball, wrestling and football which I still play to this day. Each respectfully has brought unique challenges and life lessons that can be used in daily life but also in the field. Wrestling was toughest for me, which it instilled mental and physical toughness to which makes me feel I can overcome any obstacle life throws my way.  In school I take and will continue taking rigorous AP and college level classes throughout high school. I am a member of the National Honor Society. Some things I enjoy doing in my spare time is hunting, fishing, working in the yard, and training my German Shepherd Ike. I am apart of Edmond's First Baptist Church and have been on mission trips in the United States and to Brazil. Travelling to Brazil was an eye opener for me which showed me of how truly blessed I am and fortunate to have the things I have. I aspire to be a fighter pilot in the Air Force or Navy one day and want to major in Aeronautical Engineering.
