My first goal is to attend college. This may not be a lofty goal, but I agree with my parents that my future has the potential to be very bright with a college degree. I hope to study sports medicine. In the past I had some injuries and was helped tremendously by professionals in this field. I would like to help heal athletes like these trainers and physical therapists helped me.
My second goal is to play baseball in college. I would be a good candidate for a college team first because I believe I have the physical ability to help a team be successful, but also because I simply love this game. I love playing baseball games, playing in the street with my brothers, watching baseball, and keeping up with the competition so I will better prepare myself for the road ahead.
Character is “the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual.” I currently have a 3.41 cumulative grade point average and hope to improve this more before graduating from high school. In my baseball career to date, I have not played for the most successful teams with the best records. I think this has only increased my desire to succeed. Having been recognized as an all conference pitcher as a sophomore, by the league’s coaches, might actually reflect some success so far from my desire to improve on the diamond just like I want to improve in the classroom. With nearly two years of high school remaining, I expect a lot of improvement still to come.
