Personal Statement
I am very interested in a school that plays a high level of baseball, some where I can make an immediate impact, with good facilities and has a strong academic program with a Christian based teaching philosophy. I have been told by some of my coaches that I have a great combination of being in a RELAXED yet HYPERAWARENESS state of mind as a catcher and being a work horse and team leader. I have a great progression of success as a catcher, RHP and utility infielder, including four pitch types with positive movement and velocity that goes up as I get stronger from year to year. As a pitcher-(FB 84mph), as a catcher-(POP TIME-1.90 sec) and as a utility infielder-(82 mph). My current fielding % is 1.000 and I believe I can contribute that to my year around work ethic, positive team attitude, hustle and will to compete and drive to win. I have excellent coaches, trainers and teammates that have lead me to have a great plate appearance-(BA>.350). I play on a competitive 18U (Wood Bat) Travel team for the last three years and have had some great learning experiences-(OB% .472). My diverse skills, enthusiasm, team-first attitude and competitive drive helps make me a great fit for a college baseball program. Playing baseball is a very high priority for me and I'm willing to pay the price to make it happen. If I follow my dreams, by using hard work, good things will happen. I'm also passionate about pursuing a degree in Pharmacy and I take Honors and AP classes to help prepare for this endeavor. Here are some of my references and their contact information.
