Personal Statement

    During my sophomore baseball season in high school, I got my first varsity win as a pitcher.  I also was named the Junior Varsity Pitcher of the year and received the academic award in both my freshman and sophomore years.  In addition to my high school team, I joined a travel team named BUCS Baseball this year.  My pitching speed currently is a high of 78 mph.    

     I have been told that I have a natural ability to play baseball.  Playing just comes instinctively to me. I am a utility person on my high school team because I can play any position except catcher.  I like it when I know that I can count on my teammates to make plays, and this is why I strive to make the plays no matter which position I am asked to play. Right now during the off season, I am lifting weights with my team 3-4 times a week.

     Finally, as far as my academics, I strive to do the best I can in all my classes.  I do this because I want to get into a great college, and I know how important higher education is to my future.
