Entering my Senior year in high school, I am excited about
moving toward the next chapter in my life as a student athlete in college. I
have been involved in my community through volunteer efforts at our local YMCA
and a private charitable facility that provides activity based rehabilitation
to spinal cord injured individuals.
I have finished my Junior year at Central Columbia High School
involved in both athletic and extra curricular activities. I have been a member
and officer of the Future Business Leaders of America having attended a number
of off site leadership conferences. I am taking a variety of courses in the
academic career path mainly involved in math and sciences. I have many
interests at this time and have not yet chosen a specific major.
I have been playing baseball since I was 6 years old.
Although I have also played other sports such as basketball, soccer, and
football, baseball has always been my
passion. I have focused on improving my skills as a pitcher and first baseman
year round. I have played with a number of travel teams that have offered me
the opportunity to play high level baseball from New York state to Virginia. I
feel there is always room for improvement and I have always been eager to
expand my knowledge of the game.
As I begin to turn my focus in preparation to being a college
student, I realize the responsibility that comes with this new level of independence.
It is important for me to grow as both an athlete and student as I move into
the college experience.
