james murray '17 Recruiting Profile

    My name is James Murray. I have basically played baseball since I could stand. My home has always been on the mound, but I am comfortable in the outfield and first base. I have never had the hardest fastest ball, but I help myself with being able to locate my pitches and use my off speed to my advantage. I am a useful tool in the lineup whether I just need to get on, or move my teammate over into scoring position. I am a very coachable player, and also respected by my teammates. I am competitive and will always do everything I can to help win, even if I am not in the actual game. I know that as well as giving it all I have on the field, I also have to give it all I have off the field in the classroom. 

    I would like to go to a school not only where I could play baseball, but also a school where I can get the best education I can for the road after baseball. I want the best possible option for after my sports career. I want to go to a school that will increase my knowledge and skill set as a baseball player, but will also allow me to get a degree for a good job after college.
