Personal Statement
My goal is to find a school that can help my success in life while I help it succeed on the baseball field. I am a LHP, 1B and OF who loves to compete and get better each day. While others like to work at what they are already good at because it is easy, I try to work on the things that I am weak at in an attempt to strengthen every aspect of my game. I have had success and I have had failure on the field and I have learned from both. Making the PONY World Series two years in a row taught me the value of team work, individual work ethic and the compete level that you need to have every game.
I am two sport athlete and have earned four Varsity letters as a sophomore. I want to help my team win championships, I want to be the best pitcher on a college pitching staff. I want a coach and team who will be as committed to making me better as a player and student as I will be to being the best pitcher on their staff. Graduating as a 17 year old, I know that when I get to college and can concentrate on pitching that I have the work ethic and desire to compete with anyone and help my team win.
Academically I take honors classes and have been inducted into the National Spanish Honors Society. I hope to earn a degree as a Physical Therapist so that I can continue to work with athletes when my playing career is over.
