My college goals is to excel in the major I chose as a student athlete, get fully involved in my school of choice and extracutticular activities, and be a well rounded, respected leader with my peers. I enjoy business and finance and hope to someday own my own finance company.
I believe I have the drive ,work ethic, values and integrity to help the baseball program succeed. I have played in many competitive games which required focus, leadership abilities and hard work. These games include the Northeast Little League Championship in 2013, the AAU Championships in ESPN Park, Orlando Florida in 2014 and the Perfect Game 25, Fort Meyers, FLA in July 2015.
In February 2016 prior to my sophomore baseball season I sustained a season ending injury to my elbow. The injury required three surgeries , the first in April and the last in September 2016. The last surgery included knee surgery which involved removing cartilage from my knee to my elbow. These surgeries did not guarantee that I would be able to play again. I missed my sophomore year and most of my junior year, however with the grace of God, a great surgeon, a growth spurt and hard work I was able to begin playing baseball in late May 2017 of my junior year as the starting catcher for the last 7 games of the season. I played Legion baseball in early summer which ended in mid July. I have focused on training since to regain my full strength in anticipation of the final season of my high school career.
My injury has made me realize how much I love the game of baseball. I have endured many obstacles during this time period to become healthy again. I am 100% and working hard this off season. I have persevered when many would have quit. My goal has always been to play in college and nothing will stop me from meeting this goal. I believe I will be a great asset to the college I attend, both as an athlete and foremost as a student.
