May 2021Personal Statement
In 6th grade I decided that I wanted to play baseball in college. This is an opportunity that only some players get and I feel strongly that I’m one of those individuals!
I am a hard working athlete that is coachable on and off the field. For the past three seasons I have earned a starting position on the high school varsity team and the last two years I was our team captain. I also was awarded one of two positions on the South Dakota's Class A All-Region Team in 2021 and 2022 for my team. Due to these accomplishments other players look up to me for support and mentoring throughout their season.
Off the field, I fill my time educating elementary school aged children about how not to make destructive decisions through the Patriots Actively Training Students club at Douglas High School. In 2020 my greatest accomplishment was earning the rank of Eagle Scout in Scouts BSA at the age of 14.
I also fill my spare time with helping umpire ASA Softball games and officiating youth league football. There’s no place that I’d rather be than on the field in some capacity!
My GPA is a reflection of how serious I take my commitment to my education. I’m looking for the right college who can help me fulfill my post-secondary degree goals and provide a high level of competitive baseball.
