Personal Statement
I am a 5'10" sophomore catcher currently enrolled at Science Hill High School in Johnson City, Tennessee. I am passionate about the game of baseball and wish to continue on to the collegiate level. The one thing that playing baseball has taught me is to be humble. It is not the amount of errors you make, it is the ability to overcome those errors and continue to play. I am an excellent student with a 3.5 GPA and I plan to graduate high school with the same GPA if not higher and then major in biology. The one thing that has changed me was an injury sustained this year while at bat and being hit by the ball; it taught me to take care of my body so I can play to the best of my ability.
I have several outstanding qualities and skills. When it is needed, I will take control of the situation and try to fix it any way possible, whether it is on the diamond or everyday life. I am also active in my community volunteering where ever possible to give back. I have been taught to do my best no matter what and not to break under pressure. My playing style and ability to adapt and overcome situations will benefit any team that I am able to play for at any level.
