Personal Statement
I began playing baseball at the age of 4, and have grown to be very passionate about the sport. I know I can always be better, and I take advantage of every opportunity to improve. I strive to be the best player I can be, and I do plan to play at the college level. Baseball is a humbling game, and it has helped me develop a high level of mental toughness. I've learned to play the game the same way, the right way, whether my team is winning or losing.
School is also a major priority for me, and I apply just as much effort to the classroom as on the field. I have received the Superintendent Scholar award (95+ average in 5 academic classes) in all 4 semesters of my high school career. I would like to play as competitively as possible at the college level, while staying at the top of the classroom as well. I not only believe I have the talent to compete at the college level, but also believe I have the motivation and drive as well, and aspire to make a difference on your team.
