My goal for playing baseball at the college level is to further my education, major in criminal justice, build on my character, and unlock my full potential on the baseball field. I have been apart of many baseball programs my entire life, and I can fit into any role that is needed of me. I love to encourage my teammates and build unbreakable bonds. I do not let my teammates give up, along with myself. I will push my team to become the best that we absolutely can be. Taking this mindset to the classroom is something I am willing to do as well. In the classroom I will keep my teammates in check. I will take accountability for my teammates actions if they do something wrong. Academically, I strive to stay in the top 20 percentile of my class. My GPA stays above 3.5.

- 2018 Sunshine South Showcase Jun 02, 2018 PG Grade: 7.5 Garrett Ekdahl is a 2020 OF/2B with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Oak Ridge HS. Recorded a 7.07 second 60-yard dash time. Lean and athletic frame with some quick twitch muscle and both the room and body to fill out and add strength. Primary outfielder with quick feet and a full arm stroke through release. Quickness to actions with good range and presence. Arm strength recorded up to 80 mph and 77 mph from the infield. Secondary infielder with solid footwork and a higher, tight arm slot through release. Righthanded hitter with a straight stance, and clean shift of his weight forward through contact. Turns the barrel well over the inside part of the plate with some present bat speed. Flashed some pop when working to pull and has a clean, repeatable swing plane. Good student.
