Jonah Elms '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jonah Elms. I attend Weatherford High School (Texas), class of 2026. I have a 3.7 GPA and I am taking honors courses and dual credit, now in my sophomore year.

I started baseball at the late age of 10 and love the game and what it has brought to my life ever since. I generally play 1st, pitch and some 3rd base too. For the Spring 2024 season, my batting average has been between .300 and .345, OBP .333 (56 ABs) and as a pitcher, my WH/IP IS 1.29 over 24.0 innings/111 batters faced.  As a fielder, out of 52 plays, my fielding percentage is .942 / 3 errors.

Travel ball season begins May 31, 2024 and I am so excited about that. Our Ft Worth Cats 16u-Kinder roster is mostly unchanged over the last three seasons so we all have high expectations for some good success this summer.

The most important things baseball has taught me are mental and physical discipline, maturity, mindfulness, and how to cope with failure. These are aspects you must have to be a great baseball player and a great man.

Besides baseball, I love to travel and snow ski as well as hanging out with friends, going to the gym, and being with my loved ones.
