• Izayah Williams is a 2017 2B/OF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Clarksville, TN who attends Northeast. Medium frame with highly athletic, slender frame; projects well physically moving forward. Ran extremely well, clocking a 6.63 seconds 60 yard dash time. Sets up to hit from slightly open, slightly crouched stance with good balance; wider-based, leg lift timing mechanism, gets foot down on time, line drive swing plane with solid plate coverage, has solid bat speed and projects to drive the ball better with increased physical strength gains. Worked out in the infield, defensively. Quick first step with range and athleticism to both sides, made leaping catch in game with quick-twitch, fields cleanly around the ball to both sides, clean footwork throughout actions. Shows good transfer from glove to hand, makes accurate throws across the diamond, arm strength clocked up to 66 MPH.

• Izayah Williams is a 2017 OF/MIF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Clarksville, TN who attends Northeast HS. Medium frame with athletic, slender present build; very good projection remaining on frame. Ran extremely well, posting a 6.70 seconds 60 yard dash time. Sets up to hit from from medium-based stance with relaxed, athletic set; high hands and high back elbow with leg lift trigger. Loads hands deep, strides forward and brings lower half well into swing, line drive swing plane through the zone with solid bat speed and hand quickness, shows ability to use entire field. Worked out defensively in the infield, shows quick feet and athletic actions moving to the ball, fielding cleanly out front and working through the ball with balance and efficient footwork. Throws accurately across the diamond up to 72 MPH.

• Izayah is a lean OF that will graduate in 2017. Foot speed is outstanding as indicated by his 6.81 60 time. He utilizes his quick / athletic feet well in tracking down balls in the OF through proper routes / angles. He is rangy as he reads balls well off the bat, displaying range. Defensive grade will continue to improve as he works to get behind balls more to play through with momentum to his target. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared / balanced setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact, mainly to the pull side. Hitting grade will continue to improve as works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Power numbers will continue to improve as he works to utilize his lower half more aggressively. With 2 years to further develop, Williams has abilities with time and room to improve.

• Physically fit player / Athletic body / body has room to fill out and get stronger / offensively front foot is quick - can continue to work on striding to hit and not striding/hitting at the same time. / work on seeing the ball twice and keeping eyes at contact throughout finish of the swing / defensively shows solid average actions for high school infielder / can continue to work on arm strength / would like to see you push more with hands and keep your glove angle / when attacking the ball both laterally and direct; stay low.
