Personal Statement
I have dreams of becoming a major league outfielder. Ever since I was a little kid, it is everything that I have wanted. But, before I have a shot there, my smaller goals are to make it to college first. D1, D2, or NAIA. I have dreams for each and every one. I have large dreams for D1, but many D2, NAIA and smaller schools who could complete my dreams. My goal in general is just a chance to play baseball, and feel the experience at the next level. No doubt about it. I'm willing to do whatever it takes just to earn a shot.
A recent accomplishment of mine is making the All Tournament team for the 2014 Perfect Game, Lake Point Labor Day tournament with my fall team, Batter's Box Demarini. In the tournament I had a total of 7 hits out of 15 at bats (.467) throughout 4 games. Among those hits I had 4 singles, 2 doubles, and 1 triple. I had 3 stolen bases, a OBP of .467, and a SLG percentage of .733.
As it says in 1st Corinthians 9:25: Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
In the 2012 season, I pitched a total of 13 2/3 innings as a Freshman, 3 of those for our AAA program. I struck out 11 and only allowed 8 hits and 5 runs in the Spring. I had a combined 53 official at bats for our AA and AAA teams. Biggest accomplishment of my freshman year was helping lead our Varsity Summer program to the National Dixie Pre-Major World Series title.
In the 2013 season I had 75 plate appearances and pitched 15 innings for our AAA program as a Sophomore. I was 23 for 68 (.338) with 5 doubles, 13 RBI's and scored 10 runs. I struck out 15 and finished the season with a 62% strike percentage on the mound. Biggest accomplishment of my sophomore year was being in the top 2 leading batting averages on our AAA program.
