My name is Braden Shields. I recently completed my freshman season at Galveston College, where as a walk-on I earned a spot on the spring roster as a relief pitcher. I was also an award winning outfielder in high school and feel I can contribute to a college program in a variety of ways and positions, both in the outfield and as a pitcher. Additionally, academics are an important part of my student career, having made the Dean's list in my first semester and I expect a similar result when spring semester grades are finalized. I'm looking for an opportunity to continue playing in a program that is a good fit for my skills and abilities in multiple positions. Thank you for your consideration.
