Personal Statement
Preparing for my senior season, I have no doubt that I want to play baseball beyond high school. I have had this goal for as long as I can remember, but it was amplified when I was given the opportunity to pitch in my first College Showcase Tournament in July 2016 at the age of 14. I thought standing on that mound was the best feeling in the world, but I was wrong...standing on that mound for a complete game, shut out was the best feeling in the world. I believe that I possess the talent necessary to excel as a left-handed pitcher at the collegiate level, and I know that I have the commitment and work ethic required to achieve this goal. I am focused on enhancing my arm strength and work weekly with a personal trainer. Additionally, I am working with a nutritionist to gain weight in a healthy way. I plan to be better than ever this summer and during my 2018-2019 high school season. Equally important is the fact that I have the academic skillset necessary to also be successful in a collegiate classroom and the character expected of any collegiate athlete. I have the support of two parents who are equally committed to me pursuing my dream of being on a collegiate roster for the Class of 2020.
