Personal Statement

NCAA ID: 1410870637 (NCAA Qualifier).  My NCAA profile is complete and all academic information is on file.

7-17-19:  Named Team Captain by Coach Fischer for my second year and last season at St. Cloud Tech Community College (2020 season).

Coach Fischer converted me from an All-District catcher to a pitcher during my freshman season at St. Cloud Technical and Community College (SCTCC) in Minnesota.  I was used as a closer during my first season and had the experience of pitching in the JUCO College World Series.  Growing up, I pitched and caught, and I enjoy both very much.  I love competing, and I love challenging hitters.  My goal is to have a consistent fastball in the 93-94 mph range by the time I leave SCTCC.   I was at 89-91 consistently my freshman year.

Training

  • Optimal Sports Performance (http://www.optimalsports.com/)
  • 1 year
  • Strength, Speed & Energy (SSE) Strength Training (weights) Without strength, there is no effective body movement. In sports, strength makes a critical difference between two athletes of equal skill. It is well documented that strength of the whole body is what counts. At OSP we use a variety of techniques to develop this overall strength and power. Speed, Agility, and Quickness (sport speed) We believe that acceleration is the most important component of speed development. We use a variety of techniques to improve one's explosiveness, agility, and reaction time. Our program is based on sound principles when training for speed. Energy (sports nutrition) Here we try to educate the athlete on proper nutritional habits. Having sound nutritional habits is fuel for your exercising muscles, and also how to rebuild and maintain them. The Coaching Philosophy behind our SSE program This class focuses on building champions by teaching proper technique, character building, discipline, mental toughness, and the attention to detail. We believe through positive reinforcement and a disciplined approach, our athletes will learn and develop habits that will influence health and well being over a lifetime. We truly want our athletes to become one step closer to their goals and dreams.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
