Jake Schill '18 Recruiting Profile

Choosing a career path is a challenging endeavor. Since the age of 5, I have been investing most of my time in the following areas: excelling in school, playing the game of baseball, and studying music (piano/violin).  As I enter my junior year in high school, I have made the decision to focus my energy on pursuing an engineering degree and to play baseball at the collegiate level.  In the classroom, I plan to continue taking rigorous coursework and preparing myself to meet the challenges of the real world.  On the field, I plan to continue being an asset to my team and represent the game of baseball with all the respect the game has taught me.   I firmly believe I possess the tools to make a valuable addition to any baseball program.  Specifically, my strengths are hitting for average, speed, accurate/good arm, and solid defense.  Additionally, I am also an intelligent player with excellent character on and off the field.   Finally, it is my intent to seek out a program that will balance my professional objectives and my passion for the game of baseball.  I appreciate your time and consideration in reviewing my profile.
