Kyler Stromberg '21 Recruiting Profile

I have loved being a baseball player beginning when I was 7 years old and getting to play on my first competitive club team. I joined this team in the fall that year; it was a 9U team who had played together all the previous spring and I was younger and the new kid.  I learned a lot that first game, and in that short autumn season.  As the season came to an end, I was cut from that team, and that taught me even more.  Not only did I learn that I had a passion for the game of baseball and I had the drive to make myself the best baseball player I could be, I also found out that I didn't like to lose.  

I went on to train hard, via private lessons and youth team camps, to make myself into an incredibly versatile, consistent and elite baseball player. I can pitch both right-handed and left-handed. I am excellent at first base, and as a predominant left-handed thrower, I believe I am most successful there, but I can also play outfield.  I bat right-handed. 

I have played on travel ball teams from 7 years old through the age of 17. As a starting First Baseman this season for my high school team, Syracuse High in Utah, I was awarded All-Region First Team for Utah's Region 1, 6A Baseball.  I have strong leadership skills and consider being a good teammate a constant goal. I am incredibly coachable, having played for and/or coached and trained by several different individuals. I listen to what advice each has to offer, and determine the best ways to incorporate what works best for me, into my game in order to continually improve. 

I am also a dedicated student, who has a cumulative GPA of 3.9 on a 4.0 scale. I am looking for a college where I can continue to pursue my dream of playing baseball, while obtaining the education that will prepare me for my lifelong career.
