Personal Statement
I am currently a Junior at Southampton Academy in Courtland, VA. I came up through the recreational ball leagues in Emporia, VA. I played my first school baseball at Southampton Academy on the JV team. I played center field and first base for SA. I played travel ball for the Roanoke Rapids Titans for one year where I played multiple positions. My former travel ball team is the Carolina Titans out of Elizabeth City, NC.I played three years with the Carolina Titans and I played mainly shortstop but also pitch, play first base, and some outfield. I currently play with the BSA Dirtbags coached by the University of Virginia's College at Wise's pitching coach Doug Bates. I play outfield, along with some infield and pitch with the Dirtbags. I am a strong team leader. I am continuously told by other coaches and players that I maintain a humble, positive, and respectful attitude toward my teammates, coaches, and opponents. My goal is to attend college and receive an education while being able to play college baseball. I currently have a 3.71 GPA. I am self motivated and work on my skills at home and at practice. I try to combine the advice from my school coach and travel ball coach to perfect my hitting and fielding skills. My main goal is to acquire a quality education and to play competitive baseball for as long as I can.
