Jacob Benfield '16 Recruiting Profile

I am 6', 170 lb baseball player from Spotsylvania,Virginia. My passion is baseball and I have been playing since I was 5. I played Little League until I was 8 and then moved into the AAU travel league. I made the Junior Varsity team my freshman year, as a starting pitcher and middle-infielder. I am currently enrolled in Riverbend High School and I intend on making the Varsity team this year.  I have a 3.4 GPA and take advanced courses to prepare myself for the college level.

I am the first to the field and I have always imagined playing baseball in my college career. I am looking for a relatively big school with a great academic and sports department. I am open to any college from any location as long as it is the right fit for me. My parents and I have started researching the process for obtaining scholarships that I might qualify for.
