Personal Statement
Hello Coaches. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. Baseball has been my life since I was little, and I hope to continue to play as long as I can. I've always wanted to play in college, and for many years been looking forward to the competition and the brotherhood of the team. My goal as a student-athlete in college is to not only do my best on the diamond, but to do my best in the classroom as well. My plan is to stay all four years no matter where I go, and to complete my degree. I have always managed my time well between sports, family, and academics, and I realize this will be huge in college. One thing that makes me a good candidate for any team, is my passion and drive for the sport. I love baseball, and I put everything into the game, every time I step on the field. Even if I'm not playing, I'm doing what I can to keep others in the game, and cheer on my teammates. With this passion, I also push others to have the same feelings, and to always put their all in as well. Another quality that I have is I’m always willing to help people no matter what. I love helping people out of any situation, whether they are upset about something, or need some pointers on a small part of their game. I always do what I can to help. One thing that sets me apart from other athletes, is I have performed under pressure, and on the big stage before. In Little League, my team won the state championship two years in a row, and played in Bristol Connecticut in the Regional tournament. I was lucky enough to play and pitch on TV. Something that sets me apart in academics, is I’m willing to put in the work. In times where other students will be goofing off, I will be doing homework, or getting ahead in any class I can.
