Hello, my name is Shane Lashlee. I am currently a Junior at Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn, VA, and am the catcher for the varsity baseball team. My primary position is catcher, but I also play middle infield and outfield. Last year as a sophomore, I was team captain and started 15 of 16 games on the Stone Bridge JV team that went 15-1. I called the pitches for all of our games including a no hitter and a perfect game. In the summer of 2016, I attended the U.S. Naval Academy Juniors and Seniors Leadership and Baseball Camp, where I was awarded the Leadership Award for my team. I also play on the Bulldogs varsity football team.
After I graduate from high school I hope to continue playing baseball in college. I know that there are many schools and baseball programs that I may not be familiar with now, so I am open to considering many different types of schools. I am a member of the National Honor Society and do volunteer work in my community. Last summer, I also began working as a lifeguard at our local pool. My favorite subjects are physics, the sciences and history, and my plan is to study engineering in school.
