Personal Statement
My name is Don Felix Moritz and I am a baseball player. My love of the game started even before I learned how to speak. I said “ball” before I could utter my first words. When I was 4, I saw the baseball field where the kids were playing and asked my father if I could play. He signed me up for T-ball and I have played the game I love ever since. Every year, I try very hard to compete and train at the next level playing with kids older than me. I have learned to set goals every year and continually push myself and get better. Playing baseball, I learned the value of sacrifice, commitment, self-discipline and teamwork which builds great character. In school, I strive hard to learn and get good grades. Living where I am, which is in a rural and depressed area, pose certain challenges in achieving my goals, which has led me to adapt to what is given to me.
Academically, I would like to pursue a degree in business/finance and minor in computer science. I would love to continue to play baseball while getting a college degree.
