Personal Statement
Last year, as a sophomore, I was honored to receive the Most Valuable Player Award for my Varsity High School team. Additionally, I was named All District (Cedar District) -Honorable Mention as a Pitcher. My 4.0 last year earned me an Athletic Scholar award . I had just moved and was playing for a new school and district, where baseball is really competitive, and very few people knew me.
My coaches have always said that I can do whatever they need. I like the intensity of getting it done as a pitcher but I also still love to track balls in the outfield. I am a consistent power hitter always focusing on how I can get on base! I push myself in the gym to get stronger and work with private instructors to get feedback and make adjustments to my pitching and hitting.
I have been playing baseball since I was 4, year round since I was 7, and can't see myself not playing this game. I work hard and challenge myself in school, and I work to be a leader in the classroom and on the field. I like traveling and I have been able to manage my time to keep up with school while I play baseball.
