Johnathan Bjerk '15 Recruiting Profile

Baseball has always been my passion. I have a strong desire to succeed, and I want to play baseball at the collegiate level. I am no stranger to hard work, and I challenge myself regularly. I have over 300 hours of community service, and I enjoy playing guitar and working on cars. 

Last summer, I worked at a day camp for children. At school, I have a good GPA and challenge myself with AP classes and other rigorous courses. I also have high test scores. Last year, I had the opportunity to work as a House PAGE at the Washington State Capital. In addition, I am also in the process of starting my own business. 

Whenever I am not pitching, I am playing third base. Last year, playing for the 16u Federal Way Buzz, I led my team in hits(22), RBI's(17), doubles(8), and batting average(.423). I led the 16u Seattle Elite League in doubles, and got 5th place in RBI's and batting average. That year, the 16u Federal Way Buzz finished first place with a win percentage of .783

I want to go to a school that has opportunities on and off the field. Not only do I value my education, but I also value my development as a baseball player. I am open to all sorts of colleges. However, I feel that I am more likely to do well in a challenging environment that pushes me to succeed.
