Hello Coaches,
Thank you for visiting my profile. Baseball is my passion!!! My name is Marcus Sparks. I am 6'1" tall and weigh 215 pounds. I bat right and throw right. I am currently a Senior at Richland High School in Richland Wa. I have played multiple sports: football, basketball, soccer and of course baseball. During my time in high school I played football and baseball my freshman year and then decided to focus on playing baseball. I knew then that baseball was the sport that I wanted to play all the way into college.
I can promise you that if you choose me to play for your program that I am going to give you a 110% for every single practice and every single game.
My freshman year I caught, pitched and played the occasional outfield. I also played these same positions for my summer American Legion team. My sophomore year I got an injury (bicep tendonitis) after the first game of the year. I was unable to throw or bat due to the injury. I continued to go to every single practice and was allowed to Pinch Run in the remaining games. When I began playing for my Legion team in the summer I was still unable to throw but began hitting again and I was the DH for about 3/4 of the summer season. By the last quarter of the season I was able to begin throwing again and after talking it over with my coach I moved to first base. I have been playing at first base during my junior year and plan on playing first base this summer.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope to hear from you in the future.
