My name is Mason Kuebler from Spokane, WA where I attend Gonzaga Preparatory High School. I have recently moved to Southern California for the summer to take advantage of a great opportunity following a prospect tournament at Azusa Pacific last fall. After my play in this tournament, I was invited to play for Demetri Pagalidis and professional scout, Vince Sagisi on his Cleveland Indians prospect team, the So-Cal Wahoos. Since I have been in Southern California, I have had many opportunities open up. I was recently invited to and participated in the Milwaukee Brewers Area Code tryouts; I have played in several show cases and collegiate tournaments with and against some if the top prospects in the country. I believe this opportunity will allow me to reach my goals of playing at the highest college level and professional level as I continually increase the level of my play by facing opponents of this caliber. My team, the So Cal Wahoos are now ranked #1 in CA by USSSA AND #19 in the Nation by Perfect Game.
My goal is to attend a college that will challenge me on the field and in the classroom. I would like to be in a competitive program where I can immediately impact the team. I have primarily played 2nd base and SS my entire playing career, but I am also a very skilled outfielder and I am willing to play wherever the team needs me and where I can make the greatest impact for the team. I am a true student of not only the game but my position. I have soft hands, quick feet (6.8 avg. 60 time), great range and a strong arm (83 mph top speed across the diamond). I am also strong at the plate, hitting in the 3 hole with a .400 avg going 52/139 with 10/2B, 1/3B, 10/K's, 31/BB, 26/RBI's and 26/28 SB's this past season. I am a team player, I am very coachable, and I love the big time pressure situations.
My current GPA is 4.0. I am a National Honors Society Member and have been on honor roll every semester throughout high school. I give back to my community by coaching youth baseball players in my area in the off season to help them become better athletes, players and young men. While in college I plan to study Business.
