Personal Statement
On the baseball field I consider myself as someone who plays with a chip on my shoulder. Being under-sized, I work and compete twice as hard as other players at my position and my team. I also like to lead by example and be a vocal club house leader. In my opinion, my best baseball characteristic is being coachable. I also love this game and give it my 110% during every practices and games.
At the plate, I consider myself as line drive, contact hitter and high on-base-percentage guy.
I am very versatile on the field. I can play OF, SS and 2B equally well. I played exclusively 2B for 2017 HS season and exclusively SS for my 2017 summer club team. I can also play all OF positions very well using my speed and athleticism to chase down line drives and fly balls.
My goal as a player is to get to the college level and beyond so I can reach my full potential.
I have earned the respect of my high school coach and will be counted on as one of the "leaders" on the team for the upcoming (senior) season.
At school I am involved in Raven Crew which is a mentorship program to help the incoming freshman with the start of their high school careers. I enjoy helping others.
Academically, I am interested in the medical field. For my junior year, I was one of only few students that was selected into the sports medicine program at my high school. For my senior year, I am continuing with Advanced Sports Med class where I can further my education in this field. Furthermore, to gain professional work experience and to further my career in the medical field, I interned at the North West Sports Rehab in Federal Way, WA this past summer. The experience was very rewarding and reaffirmed my career decision to go into this field of work.
