Personal Statement
My goal as both an athlete and a student is to continually improve, and work at my full potential. While I thrive on bringing my best individual self to every sport, the brotherhood on my teams has been very important to me. This brotherhood has helped me both on and off the field. For example, when a 190,000-acre wildfire ravaged our rural county in 2020, I called my teammates and asked for help. Together, we volunteered to help fire victims clean up the remnants of their recently burned homes. I was proud to offer this help to victims, and thankful my brotherhood answered the call.
In my small town of Okanogan, I’ve worked on ranches and for locally owned construction companies. Everyone I have worked for wants me to come back because of my work ethic and ability to learn new skills.
I have always loved baseball – a passion that started early thanks to my dad who played some at the college level. I started playing in 1st grade and have played every year since – even getting together with friends during the pandemic when organized sports were not available. I have been told by many coaches that I am very coachable, and I am a great team leader that never puts in just minimum effort.
I am starting my senior year, and my academic goal for high school is to graduate with at the least a 3.8 overall GPA. People in my life have always told me I am fearless, which started when I was water skiing, snow skiing, and riding dirt bikes by the age of 3.
