Personal Statement
Trust. A baseball team is the epitome of trust. Between coaches and players, players and players, pitchers and catchers, etc. Every year I play the game, I learn more about what it means to be a team. On every team I have been on, I make my role to be the guy that keeps his teammates loose while maintaining focus. I love the atmosphere of the dugout and consider myself to be the reason my team has as much fun as they do. This is part of the reason I wish to go to a smaller scale school; so that I can see the new people I meet more often, as well as my teammates. Much of being a team is being able to spend time together off the field, which a smaller school facilitates.
One of my goals is to play college baseball at a school that I love. Whatever level, I want to be a part of a team, contribute on the field, and be able to focus on my academics. One of my favorite parts of playing baseball, is the feeling that I get when I make a play that I know helps the team's cause for a win. I am a huge competitor and put a big importance on team dynamic. Put the comradery of the team together with a competitive spirit and that is the reason I play baseball.
Some of my achievements in the recent past have been: Named one of the Top 1,000 Prospects in the Nation of 2018 Graduates by Perfect Game, ranked 83rd OF in the Nation for 2018 Graduates by Perfect Game, and ranked 4th Prospect in Washington by Perfect Game. One of my greatest moments in my baseball career was during my final little league season in 2012. In the semifinals of my Little League All-Stars' District Tournament, I had a historic day, going 4-4 with 4 HRs, resulting in a Homerun Cycle. Solo, 2-run, 3-run, and Grand Slam. I have had many other fun moments that were shared with teammates. Going forward, I hope to make new memories and accomplishments with new teammates, wherever that may be.
