Personal Statement
My name is Alex Jondal, I am starting my Senior year at Ferris High School in Spokane, Washington where I maintain a 3.87 grade average (25th out of 376). I currently play varsity baseball and football. My goal is to continue my baseball career in college. I started on the varsity baseball team as a freshman for Ferris and was named 2nd team all-league. My sophomore and junior years I started at catcher which is my main position (senior incumbent graduated) and was named 1st team all-league both years. I also play on the U18 Club Spokane Dodgers, a traveling team who is coached by Mr. Jeff Simmelink. You can learn more about my travel team at our website (clubspokanedodgers.com). I have participated in camps like the Stanford All Star Camp, Tournament of Champions through Baseball Northwest, Showball Showcase Demarini Top 96 and the Area Code tryouts. My college aspirations are to continue to play baseball while furthering my education. I have not yet decided on a major, but my favorite subjects are math and science. I am looking forward to playing high school baseball and then accepting the best opportunity available to me to play baseball in college. I have a plan in place for working hard in the off season in a continuing effort to reach my athletic and educational goals. Sincerely, Alex Jondal
