Personal Statement
Besides lettering in baseball as a sophomore and junior, I lettered in football as a sophomore and junior. I was recognized for academic excellence as a baseball and football player. I believe that playing multiple sports has helped me develop into a well-rounded athlete.
My love for sports does not overshadow my education. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout my high school career. I have done this while playing two sports and also taking advanced/College in the High School classes where I earn college credit. At the beginning of the 2016/2017 school year I was inducted into National Honor Society. I have been a member of DECA my entire high school career. This business and marketing club has provided me with many competitive opportunities with Sports Marketing and public speaking. Along with NHS and DECA I volunteer in my community with Northwest Harvest, community running events and an annual Father/Daughter Dance.
I love to compete and do everything in my ability to help my team win. Throughout each year I always work to get better. I put in hours of work hitting, fielding, running, and catching each week. To increase my physical strength I took advantage of our zero hour weight lifting class which starts at 6:30 in the morning. I believe that athletes should never put themselves in a position to get rusty. I work to be more consistent in everything I do.
I want to attend a college that has excellent educational opportunities in the engineering or medical fields and a strong baseball program. I am a leader both in the classroom and on the field.
