Personal Statement
My goals are simple. Be the best player I can be, both on and off the field. I believe by leading by example not by just telling. I believe in the little things. Such as always being the first one to team gatherings. It is important to show that you care and make sacrifice for the team. The team always comes first. When I strike out I don't slam the bat down and that sort of thing. I put my stuff back and get back up to the fence to cheer on the guy who bats after me. On the field is also a big deal. Batting 4th in the order like I do is a big responsibility. Having the responsibility to bring in the runners is also an honor, and a privilege. Then on the mound you have the game in your hand. Miss your spot by 3 inches and it can be the difference between letting your team down or keeping your team on top, because that's what comes first TEAM.
