Personal Statement
My name is Andrew Freiberg I am 6'2'' and weigh 170 pounds. I am a LHP and Outfielder. I bat on left side as well. I have been playing baseball since age 6 and I love nothing more than to compete on the baseball field. Currently I continue to get stronger by dedicating my time in Strength Training to continue to up my Game. As a Pitcher I concentrated on location and hitting my spots. As a freshman, I started on the Varsity team and went 3-1. My Sophomore year was even better and went 6-0 with a 1.31 ERA and made Second Team All Conference. As for my 2015 Summer Travel team, PBA/Demarini of Wisconsin. I went 6-2 with a 2.230 ERA. and Batting I hit .367. My Junior season, 2016, I went 3-0 with 1 save, with a 3.10 ERA. I made Honorable Mention in our Conference. This year my coach wanted me to be in a reliever roll because I can throw strikes and that my team needed me in that roll.
Batting and playing a position, I take as serious as my Pitching. I play 110 percent based on where my team needs me to be, for our best chance to win.
I am extremely motivated and highly competative to play baseball in college. I take AP coarses and Honor Classes. I am part of Student Government. I also, volunteer my time in the community.
However, I am looking for a place where I can continue to grow with experienced coaches while playing at a high level of competitive baseball.
Regarding school size. I am looking for a school that best fit my needs, that is any size or any place in the US.
However, if the right opportunity presented itself, I would choose the path that sports the best coaches and most competitive baseball, regardless of the location.
