Personal Statement

My name is Parker Alsteens and I attend Edgewood High School, which is a nationally recognized academic Catholic High School.  My dream is to play baseball at the college level and receive a degree that will allow me to work in the outdoors as an adult. I play all sports and also would consider playing football at the college level, as I have accomplished some very good statistics as a quarterback and punter.

I like to hunt, shoot trap, fish and raise red setter hunting dogs in my free time.  I have pursued these outdoor activities in five states and Canada. My travels throughout the country while playing baseball and hunting have taught me an appreciation of other people and their customs. This experience makes me confident that I could live, play baseball and be a good fit as a team member.

The division level at which I play is not as important as being able to play regularily, while receiving the education that I need for my adult goal  and making lifelong aquaintances.

  • Pitched for the Wisconsin All Stars against the top high school tournament team in Michigan. Won the game throwing 72 strikes in 90 pitches. Had two singles and two hits to the wall in Center Field for Sacrifices for 4 RBI's. Two batting left handed and two hitting right handed for third pitching win as a starter with the Wisconsin State All Stars. (Lead the All Stars in Pitching 3-0, Fielding Assists/Put Outs as a SS/2B/Center Fielder with no errors for the month of June ---45 attempts) BA of .346 as a switch hitter.

Only player to hit two top College Prospect pitchers throwing 94m.p.h. radar gunned both left and right handed for doubles out of 64 players present

  • Played for the 7th ranked 14U Team in the United States. Won 44 games and lost only 1 to the number one team in the country (Omaha) in Omaha, Nebraska. Was undefeated as a pitcher and reliever. , batted .336 for the season, and had only one error in over 60 attempts.
