Isaac Blum '17 Recruiting Profile

Education is a priority to me. It is something I work on daily. I work hard for my grades and strive to be the best I can be in the classroom. My parents have always said "School first, sports second".

Over the years, I have noticed that out of all the sports I play, baseball was my sport.  By working hard in the off season and making the varsity team as a sophomore and starting at 2nd base, it showed me that all my hard work is paying off.  It made me realize that I definitely have the skill, work ethic, discipline and drive to play baseball at the collegiate level.   

I volunteer at a local food pantry and also help my community and church in many other ways. I continue to volunteer every year because it makes me feel great inside knowing that I am brightening another person's day. I also take part in a program during school called Spartans Committed which gives students other options to be involved instead of turning to drugs and alcohol.

I am always a hard worker and strive for improvement in the activities that I take part in.  Baseball has always been a special sport to me and I want to carry that on by playing in college. I know I am up for the challenge.
