Personal Statement
I'm Matt Gruse, I am a current freshman playing baseball at McHenry County College in Crystal Lake, Illinois. I have always loved baseball from a young age. Being a student athlete can be challenging at times but will only make life easier as I move on. As a one sport athlete my goal has always been to get to the next level whatever it may be, continuing to work hard during the season and offseason to be the best on and off the field. There's always room for improvement. I know I'm not the only one working to achieve this goal. Knowing this helps me work harder and push myself. My plan is majoring in Mechanical Engineering at my four year college while currently pursuing an AES.
