Personal Statement
From the time I started playing baseball, my dream has always been to become a college baseball player. More than all the base hits, strikeouts, steals and put outs, what really sets me apart from others is my mental make-up and disposition. Treating those around me with respect, leading by example, being disciplined and giving 100% effort have been the basis for all of my accomplishments to date both in the classroom and as a three sport athlete. I have been a varsity starter since I was a freshman, made second team all-conference as a sophomore. For Legion, I started every game for the last two years and had the most wins on the mound. I helped lead our team to a State Championship by going 2-0 in the state tournament and a win in the championship game. At the Ohio Valley Regional, I was named the “Player of the Game” in the quarterfinal win on the mound. I tried out and made the Minnesota Blizzard Elite 16U team and currently on Varsity Elite Black team. With this experience, I am confident that the college I attend will benefit from the way I carry myself and the team I play for will be proud to call me their own. I am very excited about what the future has in store and can’t wait to pursue my dream of being a college baseball player.
