Personal Statement
Growing up I have always participated in multiple sports which include soccer, football, track, and baseball. I am always looking to achieve more in every opportunity I get to become the best I can be. My passion and drive has always been to achieve high success in baseball.
As a player, I am a hitter who hits the ball to all parts of the field, and I have a strong arm and glove on defense. I am a team captain on my club/tournament team and take pride of this position. I lead by example through the encouragement of my teammates and my positive attitude. I am a coach-able, humble athlete, who is always trying to step up my performance. I make it a priority to spend extra time reviewing footage, in addition to, taking extra swings every opportunity I have with a goal to become bigger, faster, and stronger. I hope to one day play at the next level. This past season, as a sophomore I was given the opportunity to play on the varsity team. I played most of my games either in the middle infield or at third. At the end of the season, I received the All-Conference Honorable Mention Award.
Not only do I spend a lot of time working to improve my game, I also take my school work very seriously. I work hard to maintain a high honor-roll GPA, so I can better prepare myself for college. I am also a member of the National Honor Society. Aside from school work, I also volunteer monthly in my church in the Children's Ministry.
I am looking for a college that I can succeed both academically in the classroom and athletically on the baseball field. On the field, I am flexible and able to play multiple positions. Outfield and middle-infield are my strong points, but would be willing to play where I am needed most.
Overall, I am looking for a college that will give me the best opportunity to play at the highest competition level available. Furthermore, I am wanting to achieve high academic success to prepare myself for the best future possible.
