Personal Statement

I am a hard-working, intelligent, passionate leader both on and off the field.  I am a catcher with strong receiving and blocking skills who strives for improvement each day.  I train year round in order to surpass my performance goals I’ve set for myself.  Academic success is as important to me as athletic achievement.  I work as hard in school as I do in the gym or on the field.  I am looking to attend a college that will challenge me in the classroom and on the diamond.  When not playing baseball I work as an umpire in the community little league program as well as help coach aspiring catchers to learn the skills to play the position.  I would like to find a baseball program where I can demonstrate that I’m a team player and contribute to the success of the program each year.
