5-time Female Olympic Swimmer

Well, at this year’s Olympic games, 41-year-old Dara Torres will be representing the United States Swim Team. Not only is Torres a member of the team, but she is perhaps the best and fastest on the women’s team. Torres will be swimming in her 5th Olympics, a record for an American swimmer.She began her Olympic run at the 1984 games and retired for the first time after 1992. Her passion for swimming brought her back to the games in 2000, before retiring again. However, she’s decided that she’s not done yet. She will swim in Beijing, focusing on the 50 and 100 meter freestyle. Torres has collected 9 Olympic medals, 5 alone in Sydney in 2000.Would you have the passion and drive to pursue Olympic gold after you’re 40 years old?
