September 12th, 2008 - byThe University of Miami (FL) signed 13 players for the 2008 class. The class includes five pitchers and eight position players. Ten players haul from the state of Florida and three from Texas. Five of the newcomers were selected in the 2008 MLB Draft including junior college transfer Chris Herrmann who was taken in the 10th round. Coach Morris expects all of these players to make an impact during the 2009 season.
