Relationships lead to Scholarships

October 1st, 2008 - by Brian Davidson

Every single day at NCSA we talk to recruits about building relationships with college coaches.  Why do we stress what seems like such a logical and simple part of college recruiting?  Because coaches place a premium on building relationships with recruits.  Even at tiny Castletown State College, where play wont begin until 2009, coaches are busy reaching out to the coaching community.

That is what this trip is about, building relationships with coaches. This is all about letting high school coaches know that Castleton has a football program and that they want to be on everyone’s radar.

So why not make the coaches job easy and reach out to them first?  Why wait to be “discovered” when coaches are actively out searching?  I encourage all potential recruits to get pro-active and start  contacting coaches to build relationships.
