Congratultions to the Graduates

October 20th, 2008 - by Brian Davidson

Last week the NCAA officially released the 2008 Graduation Success Rates.  Colgate, San Francisco and Alcorn State led the way with 99% graduation rates.  NCAA President NCAAMyles Brand praised to latest tallies while acknowledgeing that he hopes to continue to raise the bar.

“Nearly eight out of 10 Division I Student Athletes are finishing college and earning their degrees.  This is extremely good news.  We still have work to do and can’t declare victory just yet, but the trend lines are moving in the right direction.”

At NCSA we always encourage the athletes we advise to make sure that they weigh a school’s academic merits as well as its athletic.  Taking a look at a schools graduation success is a great way for recruits to get a snapshot of how much emphasis a school really puts into graduating its student athletes.
