Read a college recruiting blog unlike any other, only at the National Collegiate Scouting Association. NCSA's blog is more than just college recruiting; it's also an athletic scholarships blog that's tailored to all high school athletes.

My son, is a young senior this fall, still 16..is a crafty, talented left handed pitcher, he has he has compose while he is on the hill, always wearing his game face, he as an excellent knowledge of the game, able to work out of most every situation that may arise, although he still has some time to grow and develop, he does not overpower with his fast ball, instead he locates and has a myrid change-up, most of the time he gets his ground ball or pop ups. after spending all summer traveling for summer ball in the spotlight of many college scouts, the act is if they like what they see, however i feel he's not getting a fair chance because he is not throwing 90+ , although he has a couple of schools interested, i feel that he is talented enough to have the attention of many more.He is compared to jamie moyer and tom glavin, he is that type of pitcher...what else can he do to really get on their radar?

Randy-Sharing this information is eye opening and educational. It reinforces the evaluation process and the importance to find the right fit. We have a tendency to believe we are better than we really are, however the proper evaluation set's us straight and on the correct path. Our internal personnel,RC's,Scouts and Coaches are there for a reason, because they are good and extremely QUALIFIED....
