With regards to the USA Mens National team, I believe that they are a severely under rated team. Especially after the big 2-0 win over the #1 ranked Spain. At the same time I think that they will deffinatly miss the playing contributions of Davies. He is a quality starter and also a good player to come off the bench. Along with that, I think he brings a pace to the game that is needed to keep up with some of the higher class teams in the world such as Spain and Brazil.

Now with the World Cup itself, I do think that it may be one of the most competitive in recent history. There are multiple teams that are capable of going to the elimination stages of the tournament. South Africa seems to be excited for hosting the Cup, but the news has been saying things like "its possible they might not be ready". And that seems to be a concern with some people. All in all, It should be a good World Cup. The US team has the skill to make it far, but at the same time all the other teams also have that same capability.

Well, i'd say the US team falls somewhere in the middle of the pack. They have their great days, but that happens when the defense plays great. With the loss of Onyewu, I'm not sure how far they're going to make. I'm hoping for the quarterfinals at least, and once that stage is reached, anything is possible. Just look at the Spain victory!

I think the U.S.'s win over Honduras was exactly what they needed. Now they will have a lot of momentum heading into the world cup. This team is one of the youngest we've seen, but also one of the most talented, and I believe quarters or even semis are a realistic goal. Maybe with Charlie Davies accident, the U.S. will have even more of a drive to win. Hopefully they can do as well as we all know they can.

i believe we really could make a push towards the quarter-finals or maybe even the semi-finals. and in this last year we have really shown that we can compete with teams like brazil, italy, argentina, and even spain. this shows we could be a major player in south africa next year.
i also think our team is going to have a prosperus future. if you look at the concacaf tournament we played in, we went all the way with a team of green horns. i truly can't wait to see our boys go all the way next year.

My thoughts on the U.S. national team clinching a spot in the 2010 World Cup are that it's great that the national made it to the World Cup this year. Now moving forward, let's get a few wins out of the National team.
I believe they are talented enough that they could make a quarterfinals appearance in 2010. If that was to happen that would be a great achievement for our soccer team. I'm very excited for the summer of 2010.

I truly think that the U.S team is improving years after years. This team compares to other teams that USA had before i think this one is kind of like way better than the other ones.Let''s take a moment to remember one of their greatest achievement on confederations cup. Last year was their first time to be the run-up of this great competition. They have defeated a big team like Spain on the semifinal and was leading on Brazil by two goals on the first half but unfortunately the big giant soccer team of history has came up and won them 3-2. I can't predict the future but all i want to say to the U.S National Team is a good luck on the world cup of 2010!

USA!!!!!! I was proud to watch how the U.S. kept their poise last night and came back to tie in the last few seconds of injury time. Two defensive break downs almost cost us the game but they kept their composure until the end. Seeing how they were able to come back and tie playing down the whole game was a victory in itself. The U.S. is going to upset some countries in the world cup and I truely beleive we will make it to the final eight.
